Cookies Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. They are placed by the websites you visit and are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide security features, and supply information to site owners.

Cookies serve a variety of purposes, including:

  • Functionality — Enabling core features of the website to work correctly, such as form submissions and security protections.
  • Security — Helping protect against attacks like cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and verifying that visitors are real humans.
  • Analytics — Helping website owners understand how visitors interact with their site (we do not use analytics cookies).

Cookies can be classified by their lifespan:

  • Session cookies — Temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser. They exist only for the duration of your browsing session.
  • Persistent cookies — Cookies that remain on your device for a set period of time (or until you manually delete them). They are activated each time you visit the website that created them.

3. Cookies We Use

The following table lists all cookies that may be set when you use SEO Test Online:

Cookie NameProviderTypePurposeDuration
csrf_tokenseotest.onlineStrictly NecessaryCross-site request forgery protection. Ensures form submissions are legitimate. Set with Secure, SameSite=Strict flags.1 hour
cf_clearance / __cf_bm / cf_turnstile_*CloudflareStrictly NecessaryPart of Cloudflare Turnstile CAPTCHA system. Verifies that visitors are real humans, not bots. Protects the analysis form from automated abuse.Varies (set by Cloudflare, typically session to 30 minutes)
_ga / _ga_*Google Analytics 4Analytics (with consent)Tells visitors apart and measures how the site is used. Set only after you turn analytics cookies on yourself.up to 2 years
_fbp / _fbcMeta (Facebook)Marketing (with consent)Links your visit to our Meta advertising account so we can see how our ads perform. Set only after you turn marketing cookies on.3 months

The first two cookies are strictly necessary — the site will not work properly without them and they cannot be switched off. Analytics and marketing cookies are set only once you consent, and you can switch them back off at any time in cookie settings.

4. Cookies We Do NOT Use

We want to be just as specific about what we do not do:

  • Nothing before you agree — analytics and marketing cookies are not set until you enable them yourself. Refuse, and the site runs on strictly necessary cookies alone.
  • We do not sell your data — we never pass it to data brokers and we do not use it for anything beyond what these terms describe.
  • We do not record your session — no mouse tracking, no keystroke logging, no heatmap or screen-recording tools.
  • No social widgets or social login — we do not embed Like buttons, Share buttons or comment widgets that would track you on our behalf.
Your choice decides. Without consent, measurement and advertising cookies stay off and the site uses only what it cannot work without.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on our website are set by third-party services that we use to provide essential functionality:

5.1 Cloudflare

Cloudflare may set cookies as part of their Turnstile CAPTCHA verification system. These cookies help determine whether a visitor is a real human or an automated bot. Cloudflare processes this data according to their Privacy Policy.

5.2 Google Fonts

We use Google Fonts to load the Inter typeface. Google Fonts does not set cookies on your device. However, when your browser loads the font files, it makes HTTP requests to Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address and basic browser information. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.

5.3 Google Analytics 4

If you allow analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 for anonymous traffic statistics — how many people visit and which pages they read. Your IP address is truncated, and the data may be processed in the USA under Google's privacy policy.

5.4 Meta Pixel and Conversions API

If you allow marketing cookies, we use the Meta pixel to measure how our advertising performs. Alongside the browser pixel we also send the same events directly from our server to Meta (Conversions API), so the measurement holds up even when a browser blocks the script. In that case we transmit your e-mail address hashed with SHA-256 (Meta cannot read the original address), your IP address, browser identification and Meta cookie identifiers. We send this only while marketing consent is active, and you can withdraw it at any time in cookie settings. Details are in Meta's privacy policy.

Note: We have no control over cookies set by third-party services. However, we limit third-party services to the absolute minimum necessary for the website to function.

6. How to Manage Cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Below are instructions for the most common browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Privacy, Search, and Services > Cookies and site permissions

You can choose to block or delete cookies at any time. However, please be aware that:

Important: Disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect the functionality of SEO Test Online. In particular, CSRF protection cookies are required for form submissions — without them, the SEO analysis form may not work correctly.

For more information about cookies and how to manage them, you can visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
