An SEO test, an online SEO check and an online SEO analysis are one and the same thing: one tool and one report. Only the name people give it changes. The process is always the same and takes about a minute.
Paste the address of the page you want to check, say the homepage, an online store category or your most-read article.
The on-page part takes a few seconds, the speed measurement through Google PageSpeed Insights adds 30 to 60 seconds.
Every check has a measured value, a recommended threshold and instructions for the fix, and the errors are sorted by impact.

The SEO check goes through 13 areas and in each one it measures against a specific threshold, not just whether an element is on the page. For every category you get the number of checks and an example of what the tool treats as correct.
Title 30 to 60 characters, description 120 to 160.
Details →Exactly one H1 on the page, a hierarchy with no skipped levels.
Details →At least 300 words, broken into paragraphs and lists.
Details →HTTP status 200, compression, HTTP/2, HTML under 500 KB, llms.txt.
Details →LCP under 2.5 s, CLS under 0.1, TBT under 200 ms.
Details →Alt text on every image, lazy loading, WebP and AVIF.
Details →Internal links and a balanced ratio of external ones.
Details →JSON-LD with the required properties for Product, FAQ and Article.
Details →og:title, og:description and og:image at 1200 × 630 px.
Details →Canonical, robots.txt, sitemap, noindex, hreflang with x-default.
Details →HTTPS with no mixed content, HSTS, CSP and X-Frame-Options headers.
Details →No render-blocking resources in the head, lazy loading, preconnect.
Details →Main keywords in the title, in the description and in the headings.
Details →The full list is on the all SEO check categories page.
This is where the tests repeat the same errors most often. Duplicate titles across dozens of online store pages, a missing H1, a description over 160 characters that Google cuts off.
For content the tool measures whether the page has at least 300 words and whether the text is broken into paragraphs and lists rather than one wall of letters. A page with a couple of sentences gives the search engine few signals about its topic. The details are in the categories meta tag check, H1 to H6 heading check and page content analysis.
The technical part watches HTTP status, redirects, compression, HTTP/2 and HTML size. The 500 KB limit is not arbitrary. According to the Googlebot documentation, Googlebot downloads only the first 2 MB of HTML from each page and never lets the rest into the index. A page with huge inline CSS and JS loses part of its content without the owner ever noticing.
We measure speed through PageSpeed Insights and compare it with the thresholds in Google's article on Core Web Vitals: LCP under 2.5 s, INP under 200 ms and CLS under 0.1. Google evaluates them at the 75th percentile of real visits, not from a single measurement. That is why the result of a one-off test differs from Search Console.
The indexability checks verify the canonical, robots.txt, noindex, the sitemap and hreflang. One mistake in a canonical, or a noindex left over from the staging version, costs more than all the other findings put together, because with them the page is not in the results at all.
The security part checks HTTPS and the HSTS and CSP headers, and structured data is validated as JSON-LD. More in the categories indexability check, site security check and structured data check.
An SEO score is only worth having if you turn it into a plan. The overall score starts at one hundred points and every finding takes some away: eight points for an error, four for a warning, two for a notice. When the speed measurement succeeds, the result is eighty percent findings and twenty percent the performance score from PageSpeed Insights.
An indexability error counts for far more than a missing alt text, because it keeps the page out of the results altogether. For speed we take the performance score from Lighthouse, which according to Lighthouse performance scoring is a weighted average of five metrics. Total Blocking Time carries a weight of 30%, LCP 25%, CLS 25%, First Contentful Paint 10% and Speed Index 10%.
Check results are split into errors, warnings and notices. Always fix the errors, take the warnings as time allows and treat the notices as tips. A score above 80 means a site with no serious obstacles, 50 to 79 needs work and below 50 calls for action. Even one hundred percent does not mean first place in search, only a site with no technical obstacles. Position is then decided by content, links and the strength of the competition.

Find out what to fix on your site first. The report sorts errors by impact, so you start with what is holding your rankings back most.
Run the SEO checkThe online SEO analysis is free in full, not a sample with the rest behind a paywall. Free still has its limits, and past those limits begins the work no automated tool will do for you.
The report opens as soon as the analysis finishes and a link to it also arrives in your email, so you can come back to it once the fixes are done.

A one-off online SEO test is a snapshot of one page at one moment. It does not know your rankings, it cannot see backlinks and it has no idea which phrase brings in orders. It shows what is broken, not what matters most to the business.
For tracking a whole site over time there is TopRankerTools, ongoing SEO monitoring with a Search Console connection. What belongs in a manual analysis is covered in our guide to what an SEO analysis is.
Track your site continuously instead of running a one-off test. TopRankerTools runs 30 and more checks on a schedule, connects Search Console and watches your keyword positions.
Try TopRankerToolsThe tool records which checks failed in every analysis. The table is based on 113 tests of Czech websites and shows where they fail most often. The shares change with every new analysis.
| Error | Share of sites tested | Category | How to fix it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Render-blocking resources in the head | 93% | Performance | Load CSS and JS asynchronously or defer them to the end. |
| LocalBusiness schema missing | 88% | Structured data | Add JSON-LD with the address and opening hours. |
| No breadcrumb navigation | 88% | Technical SEO | Add breadcrumbs with BreadcrumbList schema. |
| CSP header missing | 73% | Security | Set a Content-Security-Policy. |
| HSTS header missing | 63% | Security | Turn on Strict-Transport-Security. |
| Images without alt text | 58% | Images | Add a description of what the image shows. |
| llms.txt missing | 56% | Technical SEO | Add a text site map written for language models. |
Google AI overviews and assistants such as ChatGPT do not read a site the way a person does. They lean on structured data, and alongside it the llms.txt file has taken hold, a text site map written for language models. The tool checks structured data, Open Graph and llms.txt, so you know whether the site is ready for AI search. In our tests llms.txt is missing on 56% of Czech websites.
According to the mobile-first indexing documentation, Google indexes only the content shown in the mobile version. Text hidden on mobile inside a tab that cannot be opened does not exist for the search engine or for AI. That is why the tool reports a missing viewport meta tag as an error.

Four groups get the most out of a free SEO analysis, and each one finds a different check at the top of the report.
Product pages with no Product structured data carrying a price, so Google does not show the price in the result.
A canonical pointing at the old domain after a redesign, and a noindex left over from the staging version.
Several H1s coming from the template and a missing og:image, so articles get shared with no preview.
A quick pre-audit of a client site before a meeting, with a report link to send the client.
Reviews from people who use the tool, with a name, a role and a website, so it is clear who wrote them and why.
I use SEO Test Online for quick pre-audits of new clients. Within a minute, I have an overview of the main issues and can immediately suggest solutions.
Finally a tool that clearly tells me what to fix and why. Thanks to the report recommendations, we improved our Core Web Vitals and search visibility.
I appreciate the technical depth — HTTP/2 check, compression, heading hierarchy. The output is clear and immediately usable for the team.
Yes. The free SEO analysis covers all 71 checks, you create no account and the result is not a sample with the rest behind a paywall. You enter a page address and an email, and the link to the report arrives there.
A link to the finished report, so you can come back to it after the fixes, and occasional SEO tips from the Topranker team. You can unsubscribe with one click in every message.
The on-page part takes a few seconds, the speed measurement adds 30 to 60 seconds. About a minute in total, a little longer on slow sites.
A good score is above 80, meaning a site with no errors in indexability or availability. One hundred percent means a site with no technical obstacles, not first place: that is decided by content and links.
The test scores one URL. Start with the homepage and add the pages that bring in visits. Template errors repeat, so three to five addresses reveal most of the problems.
Speed does. PageSpeed Insights measures mobile and desktop separately and mobile is usually slower. Google uses the mobile version of the content for indexing, so the mobile result is the one that counts.
The score measures technical condition, not authority or content. Check in Google Search Console whether the page is indexed, then work on content and links.
It does not spot cannibalization, two pages going after the same phrase, it cannot judge what searchers are after and it will not tell you whether the text convinces a reader. That is the work of a specialist with ranking data.
After every bigger change, and straight after a redesign; otherwise once a month. The tests are free, so run a free online SEO test on the staging version too, before Google sees the changes.
Yes, the online SEO tester will check any publicly available page. Sites that block crawlers are analyzed with a fallback method.
An online SEO test shows what is broken on the site. A consultation shows which of it is costing you money and in what order to deal with it, so the fix shows up in orders and not only in the score.
The tool is built by the team at the Topranker agency, and the same team runs the consultations on your test results. Contact details for the team are on a separate page.
Book a free consultation on your test results. A specialist goes through the report with you and says what is worth fixing first.
